Imagine giving a presentation in your showroom and, for example, introducing your latest product line. Imagine your customers and interested parties sitting or standing around you, able to view the products from every perspective, ask questions and discuss with each other – everything as usual.
Now imagine that you – visible to everyone in the room – can let a digital layer float freely above the products. With this digital layer, you can, for example, display additional information about the product as well as its application scenarios. You are undoubtedly familiar with this concept from various science fiction films.
And now imagine that all participants are not sharing a physical room at all, but scattered all over the globe. Connected by a digital application.
This product vision is becoming a reality now: With the collaboration of a large industrial customer, we have developed a prototype using our sprint method, which is currently undergoing beta testing.
A 360° camera films the presenter. Additionally, a digital, three-dimensional image of the presentation object is inserted. The combined image is streamed and transmitted to the audience via VR glasses in real-time. This creates the impression that the viewer is physically standing in front of the presenter and his or her product.
A digital object is of course not just a substitute for a physical one, but offers all the advantages of a digital image: exploded view, component highlighting, live configuration and adaptation, further product information and more. Almost anything is possible.
Participants are distributed in the room as 3D avatars, which serve as a visualization of the audience for the presenter. Furthermore, this also creates and strengthens group dynamics and bonds between participants.
At any time, the moderator can get in touch with the viewers. This is possible on a linguistic level, but also, for example, through voting and multiple choice. In essence, the viewers’ opinions and thoughts thus become a structured, active part of the product presentation.
There is no need for participants to travel.
Conduct initial feedback discussions about products that have not yet been physically implemented.
Have conventional events been cancelled or are individual participants not able to attend? Just stream in VR!
An unbeatable qualitative advantage over video calls with shared screens
